If your wife or girlfriend is pregnant, you aren't going to be a dad you are one already.  While that thought might be extremely scary, you should know that fatherhood is very rewarding, and you can be a GREAT dad. 

Being a dad is hard work, but the role you will play in your child's life is irreplaceable.  There's a lot of joy involved, too.  You can make a huge difference for your son or daughter by being the man he or she needs you to be, and you do most of that by simply being there.

Fatherhood is not inherited, but it can be learned and embraced.  At Paulding Pregnancy Services, we offer prenatal and parenting classes with a program full of helpful, practical information - for moms and dads.

Your child needs you to be around more than anything.  Research shows that children growing up with a dad and a mom in the home are three times more likely to succeed in nearly every area of life and are less likely to be drug abusers or end up in jail.  

You can LEARN to be a good dad.  There are an infinite number of resources to help you, even if your own father wasn't there for you as a role model.
